Lola T390 HU3 1975 2.0L Sports Prototype

(Restoration Project) £39,950

A unique opportunity to acquire a very competitively priced 2.0L Sports Prototype and would be a competitive entry for the Masters 70’s Sports Prototypes, Orwell Sport, or V de V. There is also talk that the HSCC may also run selected races for these cars.

The car has spent 26 years in the Rosso Bianco Museum fitted with de Cadenet body and is therefore unmolested. Some history on the car can be found at http://wsrp.ic.cz/chassis/chassis_lola_sports.html and did win a race at the hands of Dieter Schulz. Scroll through this page and you will some pictures / history on the car http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Most-1978-08-20.html

I have owned the car for the last 2 year with a promise every winter we’re going to restore it. I now have plans to move aboard and need to reduce my collection of cars and hence this reluctant sale.

Although complete less engine and rear wing the car is rolling with FG400 gearbox, but needs a ground up restoration. It ran in period with a BDG, but can run with a 420 Hart or M12 BMW and has a new body by TW Moulding.

With these types of cars now commanding prices in excess £150,000 this car offers great scope to build a top class example.

1984 RK March 847 Can Am car.

Three cars were built in the U.K and shipped to the U.S for Walker Racing. This car is chassis 001, the car was featured in June 1984 Autosport "Track Test" prior to leaving for the U.S. Jim Crawford piloted the RK 847 to success in America. When the 1984 Can Am Championship was over only two cars remained of three. The 003 chassis was crashed beyond repair, the 002 car went back to the U.K where it was modified to race in the Thundersport Series driven by Richard Piper and Tiff Needel. The 002 car is now in a private car collection

This car  001 has made a remarkable recovery from a near death experience. Due to the handy work of top race car restoraters it has been restored back to it's former glory. It now looks as it did in the 1984 Autosport article.
It ran at the 2006 Can Am festival at Road America.
