Formula 2 Tecno for sale

When the Tecno factory closed, everything that was left was sold off and this car was part of the job lot. It was completely assembled but had never been used. However, somewhere along the line the engine and gearbox have been removed for use in something else.

The chassis number is T00746, but is not listed in Bianchini’s book, “Tecno La Storia”. However, Bianchini admits that his list is not necessarily complete and since the car was never sold prior to the factory closing one would not expect it to appear in any of Pederzani’s records which Bianchini used to compile his list.

This then means here is a chance to acquire a genuine piece of history which can only appreciate in value.

Price Euros 26,750 which includes a spare fuel tank and nose section.

Sold

This BT36 is Bob Jane's last open wheeler drive for John Harvey, and raced in the 71 and 72 AGPs, and the Tasman series of both years.

BT36It was originally ordered as a BT30, but the order was changed to a 36 when Ron T announced the new F2 design, and work had not commenced on the original order. It arrived in Australia as a complete roller, and Jane ran it with the 2 litre Waggott motor from Leo Geoghan's Lotus, but sold it as a roller again, with FT200, at the end of 72, when it was fitted with a 1600 Ford TC to run in the current F2 here.

It eventually left the tracks, and over the years another Waggott (there are only 9) was located for it. The car is now restored to an as new roller, (see pics) The Waggott has been machined and is ready for assembly with new rods, pistons etc. In its day, it was measured at 268hp ... The FT200 is completely new inside, bushes, bearings, CWP, LSD, shafts, many gears.

BT36It was completely stripped, cleaned, crack tested and redichromated. It can be run in Europe with a BDA, or BDG. There are Waggott and Ford engine mounts. It comes with 4 wets and 4 dry rims, all stripped, crack tested and redichromated. All instruments, seat, dash, gear linkage etc. Body work is new in gel coat. It also comes with a fully documented history, period photos, race results, magazine articles etc.

As a roller, Price £ Enquire

The Waggott engine is also available, it's basically a big FVA, 2DOHC, 16 valves, FInj etc, and if it is kept together, the price will be much more acceptable as a complete car.
