A rare opportunity to acquire an unusual car which has a unique history.

It is RUSSIAN – not many of these around. – It has been well finished as the pics show

It was  driven by Ladislav Kalas of MTX who participated in the championships of the former CSSR. 

It has; surprisingly, a 1107 cc Skoda engine with a Skoda 4 speed gearbox. 

Both of which are in excellent condition, being last rebuilt in  2014.

HISTORY

The MTX was produced by the company Metalex Praha at the turn of the year in 1971-72. 
The MTX basic organisation 206 ZO Svazarm Praha took it over in association with cooperation with the army.

The Car has had a full bare chassis rebuild, just completed and only a change of personal circumstances forces it to be for sale.

The car is fully updated to current 750 formula specification with Fiat 1108 FIRE engine with Polestar management system, Weber 40DCOE Carburettor and new exhaust manifold

All body panels have been replaced and re sprayed, new SHOWA shocks, new steering rack, new rose joints, new extinguisher

2019 Seat  belts have been fitted.

Car is complete with a set of wet tyres on rims

1930's American-Austin Midget Race Car

This yellow 1930's American-Austin is an all-original vintage open midget race car ready to be driven or shown.

It was built in Los Angeles during WW II and has a 1946 South Dakota title. It was raced and driven on the street in Los Angeles, then sold and driven to South Dakota. The fenders and rear bumper were added when it was made street-legal. The modified drive train is early 1930's American-Austin. The 46 CID L-head 4 cylinder motor and 3 speed manual transmission are all there.The car runs and drives great and is fairly fast.

Here is an exceptional opportunity to own a truely original early midget race car.
