Full gas flowing to inlet and exhaust tracts keeping port sizes close to standard as Atlantic spec valves require.

Inlet valves = 1.22” dia   “short” race length.

Exhaust valves = 1.00” dia “short” race length.

Valve springs 16 x FB412 double.

Valve spring platforms x 16 –SC356.

Valve spring shims - various  10 – 15 - 35 Thou.

Inlet tappet shims - FB907 x 8  ground to 120thou.

Inlet clearance  10-12 thou.

Exhaust tappet shims FB907 x 8 ground to size 70 thou.

Exhaust clearance 12- 14thou.

 

Head Gasket

 

Triple layer Adjusa BDA / BDD  -  set to 65lb Ft.

 

Carbs

 

Twin 45 DCOE Webber x 2 on short length Webber inlet manifolds.

Choke size –38.

Mains –150.

Air corr –160.

Emulsion tube -50F9.

Starter jet – N/A.

Pump jet –35.

Needle jet –200.

Float level -12mm closed.

Bleed jet –blank.

Aux venturi -4.5

Trumpet length -65 mm.

ITG air filter assy.

Use 102 - 105 Octane Leaded fuel.

JE Pistons – forged Cosworth BDD full race flat top 20 deg pocket. inlet/exh.  

Weight -316 gms each bare.

420 gms inc pin/clips/rings.

Big end caps set to - 41 lb ft.

 

Con Rods

 

Farringdon’s forged steel “I” section.

Narrow Journal -5.23” long rod length.

Weight 502- 504 grams each exc big end shells.

Big end shells – 54 gms.

Total piston and rod weight - 976 to 978 gms.

Balanced Steel Narrow journal 12 bolt flywheel fixing stroke 77.6 mm

Engine Block  - Ser/number 3x10w204922

 

Ford 711M 6015- BA  T10 steel block bored to suit piston size.

Block deck height machined to 9 thou above piston @ TDC

Main Caps – set to - 65 Lb Ft

Standard water pump.

New Core plugs.

Oil Pump - Titan/Cosworth - side entry ¾ inch scavenge 5 port.

Set pressure to 70psi hot up to 80-90 psi at running speed.

Use “Mobil 1” racing sythetic or equivalent.

Max oil temp 100 deg c in oil tank.

Water temp 70-80 deg c.

Warm oil to 50 deg c before revving over 7,000 rpm.

Sump half trench steel dry sump pan  set bolts to 5-7 lb ft.

All Gaskets used are comtec layer composite coated type.

 

Ignition / Distributor

 

Spark plug type – NGK-BPR8ES - set gap to 0.25”

Tighten to 14/16 LB ft (use graphite grease on thread/seals)

Lucas electronic breaker less pick up type.

Side entry BDA type distributor cap.

Time @ 32deg advance @ 5,000 RPM.

Exhaust manifold primary temp – 600 deg c.

Firing order 1-3-4-2

 

Flywheel & Clutch

 

Steel lightend flywheel 7 ¼” Race Ultralife 12 bolt fixing

Clutch spline 7/8” x 20

Cluch Plate AP Racing three Paddle.
