Four speed 'box with brand new 9:31 CW&P and free differential.
The 'box has Hewland's smooth, early Mk.8 sideplates (for use with outboard
brakes) and spider output shafts. Perfect for Historic FF1600.
The 'box has been rebuilt regardless of cost by PDS for Simon Hadfield
- virtually all internal components have been replaced and the bill came
to around £2,500. That £2,500 on top of the purchase price!!!
Needless to say it's just about perfect - my only criticism would be that
the bearing housing has a couple of small welds on it.
