THE PINK FLOYD MK 2 JAGUAR

pic

Here is the Carrera Pan Americana Jaguar restored as for that specific race.

This is the car that Steve O Rourke ( Pink Floyd's manager and a serious successful racer in his own right )and David Gilmour drove.

The engine is 3.8 producing in excess of 300 bhp.

The gearbox has overdrive.

It has special wheels designed to withstand the gruelling race and made in the USA.

Numerous invoices. FIA Rollover bar, new fuel tank , restored in every way .

Must be the only three door MK 2 Jaguar in existence !.

It comes with V5 showing Steve O Rourke as the last owner in 1991

A letter confirming its provenance and Jaguar Heritage certificate.

Sadly the prop shaft broke .

Surely a unique piece of history for a serious collector - a true one off.

Offers invited around £ 57000.00

Marcos Mantis GT3 works race car.

 pic

It was apparently one of only 5 made by the Marcos racing partner, Eurotech, as the LM500 series of race cars. These led to the design of the LM600 le mans racers.

Marcos Mantis GT3 race car, chassis number SA9FMBXXSFOS50315, as developed and built on behalf of Marcos by their racing partners Eurotech. This chassis was originally raced in The European GT Series and later competed in the Dutch Supercar Challenge and Spanish GT Championship, winning both titles. Later it raced in the British 24hr, International GT Open and back to the Dutch Supercar Challenge. We have also traced much of the cars interesting race history. It is currently eligible to race in multiple championships and series such as AMOC, Britcar, 750 club enduro, cscc, Bernies V8's.

The car is in great condition and still sports its original Eurotech / Cor Euser racing colours and has everything that a high end race car should have and it was extremely highly spec'd for the era and even by today’s standards.

The car has undergone several upgrades / modifications since we have owned it but we have tried not to detract from its period characteristics and construction.

The Ford quadcam V8 has undergone a complete top to toe rebuild which included all new internals, except cams, and was fully balanced. This is the engine that the cars were originally supplied with in period and are robust. The engine is managed by a Motec M800 system, sensors and dash with full data retrieval and mapping facility. We have also replaced the radiator and oil cooler to the original patterns and the old out of date bag tank has been replaced with a custom built 100ltr aluminium foam filled fuel cell built by JC Weldfab. The car has a new seat, hans belts and extinguisher which are all in date and ready to go racing. We have also fitted a heated front screen to prevent fogging on those cold and damp UK race days. The power is transferred through a 5 speed manual Borg Tremmec gearbox and is mated to the engine with a new and balanced spec clutch.

The car will come with 4 x brand new BBS alloys and 2 x new imola alloys, standard windscreen, spare front discs, pads, and various other small spares and parts.

This car was extremely competitive in its day and beat much more expensive exotica in head to head track combat and is still a thrill to drive. If you are looking for an easy to run and maintain GT Classic, that stands out visually to everything else out there presently then this is the race car for you.

If you require any further information on the spec of the car or would like to see some of the cars history that has been tracked down or receipts for the build and maintenance then please do not hesitate to contact me.

 Viewing is highly recommended
